Keith Salimane

Keith has more than 12 Years public and private sector auditing experience. He completed his training contract with the one of the Big-Four Firms (i.e. KPMG) in 2014. He continued to serve as a senior internal audit and supervisor within the firm for another 3 years, until he joined an in-house function of JSE-listed company Grindrod Limited.

Over the years, Keith has been involved in several audits within the following sectors – Manufacturing, FMCG, Logistics, Retail, Financial Services, Software, Agriculture, Local Government, Public Entities, State-Owned Entities. In 2020, he joined Bonakude as a Project Manager, where he was responsible for the delivery of internal audit services of public entities and water boards. Currently, he is an Executive in the Internal Audit Division, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions at a national level.

Keith has recently been appointed as a 2024 Governor of the KZN Region, for the IIASA (i.e. Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa). The IIASA is an international institute representing the interests of Internal Auditors worldwide. As a committee member, he will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the industry and profession.
